How I Met FATman

I am not sure if I blogged about this before in my previous blogs but since I am free, I will blog about this again :)

I met Dennis around in early 2008 if I am not wrong, when I just finished filming for Channel U's show for problematic teens " 青涩部落格 My World My Blog"

He came all the way from Pasir Ris to Sembawang with Morris & Allen to pick me up and went for supper at Chong Pang Nasi Lemak. I knew him from a forum for music (it is illegal so I wont mention names) and he is one of the friends I knew from the forum. His first impression to me is he is a dark fat pig. HAHAHAHA!!

We didn't contact each other after that (expected). He told me years later that in 2008 he was actually interested in me but he was afraid to make the move and he got into a complicated relationship with one of his poly friends - M.

M and him broke off years later and I broke off with dont-know-who also, after that I was with another ex bf - G and he was with Q. Q and him broke off in June 2009 and he was still in army, feeling bored, he SMS me again and asked me for supper. G was a bf full of jealousy and forbid me to do this & that , Psst I really hate that and I started to talk to Dennis about how bad G was. Dennis will drove me home whenever I am working afternoon shift in Tai Seng after having supper at Old Changi Airport Road. I am actually quite touched as his camp is in Choa Chu Kang, my office in Tai Seng, my house in Sembawang & he stays in Pasir Ris. 

We went to watch movie at Iluma, I remembered it was 吓到笑 and he held my hand when we crossed the road in Sept 2009 (I had broken off with G by then).

Being calculative, I wanna him to say the words "can you be my gf" thus I kept asking him if he is gonna ask me but he kept saying no and made me so disappointed but we were still together and I went to his house and play with his dog and he still drives me to & fro work on weekends when he is supposed to rest :) In Feb 2009, I was having menses and resting at home, locking my door to pluck armpit hair and I heard knocks on my room door. I thought is my brother as he was at home so I quickly unlock the door and pluck my eyebrows instead. When I look at the mirror inflection, I saw Dennis. I was shocked and he bought me a ring and asked me to be his girlfriend.

                         

So yeah, this concludes how did I get to know this FATman

Juliana & Teng's Wedding

Last Saturday I attended my ex colleague Juliana's wedding. It's always sweet to see your friends finding /found their true love and decided to date / marry the love of their life. Next step would be them having their little ones and I am sure it will be so fun!

This is me in the cab, on the way to their wedding. I love my brows that day and I think the Chanel make up base that my sis-in-law hazel gave me is good! I love the smell and how my brows make up stays that day. =)

Do you regret to have children?

My two babies.

Friends without kids (some to the extend of dislike) often ask me if I feel tired when I go home after work and I need to face two little terrors at home. Frankly, who isn't tired after work and who don't wish that they can go to rest and knock out till the next day.

Having kids definitely drains your energy and your earnings. I would say 70% of my salary goes to their insurance, milk powder, diapers, school fee, school bus, toys, snacks and my helper who helps to take care of them. 20% of my salary goes to bills and 10% is for my expenses.

If I am single and without any children, of course I will have more money to spend.

DO I REGRET? They asked.

NO. I answered firmly

Why should I? I guess it's their laughter and smile.
Someone who greets you "mama" when you are back,
someone who wants you to hug when they are feeling unwell,
someone who cry when you are quarreling with their father (Zaylen did that when I quarreled with FATman(dennis) in car.
someone who pester you to buy him 6 lollipops ( I didn't though~)
someone who talk back to you and make you angry yet want to laugh and the list goes on.

I guess those who don't understand are not ready to be parents yet.

It's a short post today as I AM ON LEAVE!! This is my first official leave this year since I left Asus in Jan 2014. I AM GONNA ENJOY! <3

Introduction

Let me introduce myself

I am Ylva, mother of 2 children - Zaylen & Vianne, age 3.5 and 2 respectively. My husband is Dennis who works in IT field. To be frank, I am not sure what's his job title as I only bother if he brings enough money back, HAHAHAHA

The reason I captioned the photo as "Long Time No See' is because we stay together but our working timing is different recently as he's rushing projects and thus he only came back at 4am and goes to work at 10am. Whenever we see each other is a body lying on the bed sleeping. >.<
